So what the hell does that mean? Basically, this is the stock photography portfolio of a travel photographer — Kevin Day — whose day job as a content developer for premier travel brands offers a nice crossover of sorts. In addition to licensing these images for marketing and editorial purposes, Kevin also offers custom photo shoots and web content to his travel and outdoor recreation clients. It’s like having a really talented visual artist who also knows how to craft web content for SEO, engagement and brand marketing.
Born and raised in Colorado, Kevin has always seen photography as an extension of his other passion: writing. Both involve storytelling, personal expression, show-and-tell, and a touch of navel gazing. These two worlds beautifully/horrifically collide on the Tanager Blog.
Kevin has more than 10 years in the travel industry, working with everyone from major destinations such as NYC, Hong Kong, Colorado and Las Vegas, to ski areas, luxury vacation clubs and boutique spa resorts. His content strategy business optimizes websites for SEO and social engagement, as well as streamlines content marketing efforts across web, print and email.
Kevin travels extensively with his wife, Hailey, and their young daughter, Varenna. Sometimes, Hailey snatches the camera from Kevin and snaps a few photos, which is a good thing because she is enormously talented. Born and raised in Maryland, her great Colorado experiment (which started in 1997 when she arrived at Colorado College) is now indefinite. For Hailey, passions aren’t so simple. She paints, she cooks, she knits and she designs websites, graphics, and animations for a living with her own company, HeyDay Creative.
Together, their travels have taken them to across a wide swath of Italy, as well as Spain, Switzerland, Hawaii, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, Cape Cod and of course, all over the freaking place in Colorado.
